How to Get a Fretboard Chart
If you want to learn how to play guitar, the first thing that
you are going to have to do is buy a guitar and learn to play
the fretboard. The fretboard on the guitar is the long wooden
part where all the strings are, which is why it is so important
for you to learn about the fretboard chart and how to play the
fretboard, because this is how you make the different notes and
play the guitar.
There are several options that you can use here. You could buy
a learn guitar DVD and use this as an aide to help you learn
guitar, or you may want to hire a professional who can actually
sit there with you and show you firsthand how to play the
guitar.
Finding a Fretboard Chart
You can make your own fretboard chart but of course if you want
to make sure that the fretboard chart is perfect and save
yourself hassle at the same time, you are going to want to find
an online company that offers these charts and then print one
off.
There are quite a few different online companies available for
this, one in particular being the Video Guitar Lessons Company.
They are one of the most renowned companies around the world
when it comes to guitar playing lessons, and they are
definitely one that you can trust in, no matter what your skill
level.
Another online company that you can get a fretboard chart off
of is the Study Bass Company. They are another respected
company, one that you can go to and find a trained professional
who will work with you and show you the ropes of guitar
playing. No matter what your skill level, they will make sure
that you end up sounding like a pro.
Their scale and chord tone fretboard printer is completely
free, and they even offer a ton of fixes and improvements,
including that now scale tones can be overlapped with chord
tones and harmonics can be added on top of that. You no longer
need to adjust your print settings for landscape or portrait
either, because now the printer will automatically adjust to
print exactly what is on the page.
You are also able to show all notes or all harmonics in either
sharps or flats, and the free scale and chord generator that
they offer allows you to view and print out the fretboard notes
or fingerboard charts to most any scale, chord, or arpeggio on
any stringed instrument in the tuning.
